My intuitive impulses to put together joulery, collage, material painting, sculpture and installation are excessive and unpredictable. Gathering together bits of source material culled from a deluge of precious contents that relentlessly gets swept from the glutted waste stream, my work expresses qualities and intensities of kindnesses and ecology. Combining faux plants, found children's toys, consumer packaging and paint, mixing in geographical features like rocks, coral, feathers and shells, as well as my own body's energy, spirit, rhythm and reactions, I strive to show and tell others what I'm doing and where I'm heading. In an effort to form organized masses between elements otherwise lacking in formal or natural affinity, I fragment, reorganize, cut apart, knot, and somehow compose a synthesis of chaos. I make simple and complex art interactions that appeal qualitatively to my sense of self-imposed constraint.
